Yesterday my Mac Pro was acting like a whale, then I noticed Firefox consuming more than 5GB of resident size... I thought that after all Netscape Communicator age was just a few years ago ;-)
Well..today I kept an eye over Activity Monitor and got a rare view of numerics regarding vsize: in some rare occasions it showed like Firefox was allocating 16EB of virtual memory! Wow, sixteen exabytes: 16 million terabytes :-) Kudos to malloc(3)!
